The Macau Government Tourism Agency will hold “2025 Macau Week” from the 29th to June 2nd.
The “2025 Macau Week,” which will be held in Seoul for five days, will consist of a “seminar and travel mart” for travel industry officials and a “road show,” a large-scale pop-up event for general consumers.
Through this event, the Macau Government Tourism Agency plans to introduce Macau’s latest tourism information and new attractions, strengthen the foundation for cooperation with Korean travel industry officials, and expand contact with Korean tourists and actively attract tourists.
In 2025, Macau was selected as the “East Asian Cultural City” and was ready to take a further leap forward as a center of art and culture. In addition to the MICE industry, it will welcome travelers with more colorful experiences than ever, including its charm as a multi-travel destination through connection with Hung Chin and Hong Kong in China, and newly introduced performances and experience contents.
To this end, about 50 people, including Maria Helena de Sena Fernandez, head of the Macau Government Tourism Agency, government agencies such as the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau and the Hung Chin Economic Development Bureau, and officials from Macau International Airport, Air Macau, and six integrated resorts will visit Korea.
This year’s Macau Week will open with ‘Macao Tourism and MICE Industry Latest Information Seminar and Travel Mart’ to be held at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on the 29th.
The seminar will share the latest information and industry trends on Macau tourism to domestic tourism industry officials.
Along with the analysis of the steadily increasing trend of Korean tourists, it will introduce the vision and status of Macau’s tourism industry, including MICE strategies and government-supported policies, as well as the various charms of Macau, which has been reborn as a cultural destination such as large-scale entertainment shows, various festivals, and events.
In the following Travel Mart, more than 200 people, including major tourism industry officials such as local hotels and travel agencies in Macau, as well as officials from major domestic airlines and travel agencies, will hold 1:1 meetings. Through this, the Macau Government Tourism Agency plans to create practical business opportunities and strengthen networking to promote the development and sales of Macau products in the Korean market.
From the 30th to June 2nd, a road show for general consumers will be held in Yeouido The Hyundai Seoul. Under the theme of “Secret of Doors-Finding My Own Macau,” this year’s road show allows you to experience Macau travel indirectly through “Five Romantic Gates.”
Each door symbolizes Macau’s unique charm and offers a Macau curated travel experience with keywords such as culture, gastronomy, hotel staycation, healing, and local mood.
Opening events and performances marking the beginning of the road show will begin at 2 p.m. on the 30th. Ahn Hyun-mo, an international conference interpreter and broadcaster, will host the event, and Paul Kim, an emotional vocalist who blends with Macau’s romantic charm, will perform a special performance.
The Macau Government Tourism Agency will also hold a “teleport to Macau” event in collaboration with travel community media Crazy for Travel, where they will travel for two nights and three days from the pop-up site.
“This year’s Macau Week will be a special opportunity to experience the unique charm of Macau travel and enjoy various benefits,” said Yoo Chi-young, head of the Macau Government Tourism Agency’s Korean office. “We look forward to effectively introducing Macau’s changed and evolved charm to Korean consumers and the travel industry.”
